Until very recently, it wasn’t possible to mimic in SWTOR the iconic clone trooper armor with high fidelity. The Warstorm Veteran set seems inspired by the Clone Wars trooper Phase 1 armor, specifically Captain Rex as a dual-wielding pistoleer. But the set doesn’t include a kama, the butt/hip cloaks many “main character” clone troopers wore. The Unbreakable Veteran’s helmet is a close approximation of the Phase 2 clone trooper armor, but still there were no kamas in the game. Then we got the brand new Sith Cultist’s Armor, and at last, a kama!
Below is the closest I think it’s possible to get in SWTOR to the clone trooper armor. It’s not a cheap set to put together, and the dye alone was running for 1.2m credits on Satele Shan’s GTN at the time of writing.
On the other hand, there is such a VAST array of armor in SWTOR (one of my favorite things about this game), there might be better options for various pieces that I haven’t considered. How does this look to you? How would you improve it?
